Book & Author Luncheon and Silent Auction Featuring Lisa Wingate

The Friends' annual Book and Author Luncheon and Silent Auction began in 2005 and is a major literary event for the community. This year we are celebrating not only the 20th anniversary of the luncheon but also the 125th anniversary of the Lena Armstrong Public Library. The proceeds from the Luncheon ticket sales and the Silent Auction constitute the major source of funding for the Friends' activities in support of the library.

To all book lovers: Join us for BOOK BINGO again this season. Bingo cards are available free here online or at the Belton library. Just ask at the front desk. No need to chase a Bingo. Just read a book which fits into one or another of the categories on the card and X out that box. You’ll receive a ticket for each X’ed out square for prize drawings at the Book and Author Luncheon on Feb. 22, 2025. All are encouraged to come to the luncheon, but your presence isn’t necessary to win a prize. Further instructions can be found on the card, but the important thing isn’t rules; it’s JUST READ!! This year there’s a children’s version for our little kiddos as well.
